Behind the mic, on a show scene, or at the club, Cindy Sanyu is royalty. She’s the king herself. But back at home, says her husband Prince Joel Okuyo Atiku, she's as normal a wife as they come.

She cooks, she cleans, and takes care of her family better than any other woman he’s met.

The King herself” is a title and that title doesn't come home with her,” said Okuyo in a recent interview.

Whatever you see out there is a brand and people don’t seem to differentiate between a brand and a brand carrier. At our home, that brand carrier is my wife.”
Cinderella Sanyu, President of the Uganda Musicians Association, married Okuyo in December last year. In April this year, they welcomed their second child. At their home, Okuyo says they live with his two other children.

They are all our children; they are Amani, Essie, Josiah, and Lina. They sleep on the same deca-beds,” said Okuyo.

Speaking about the effect of the singer’s image on their marriage, he said this is nearly non-existent at home.
In the house, she’s not even Cindy, she is Cinderella Sanyu Okuyo. That other brand stops at the gate. Even as I speak she’s at home with two children.”

Cindy is a known fanatic of the formal African family and a vocal critic of feminism. She famously said in March this year; "Unless you're lesbian, don't join the feminist movement, you will end up sad, alone and lonely. No joke."

On when the 'Boom Party' singer will be back on stage, Her husband Okuyo in the interview that she still needs more time to prepare.
