In a clip trending on social media platforms, ex-prime minister John Patrick Amama Mbabazi is seen being helped by white helpers to walk using crutches while exiting the Duke Hotel in London.

Report of his sickness has elicited mixed responses with his friends and well-wishers sending him get-well messages. He’s said to be obtaining treatment from a London hospital yet to be known.

The former 2016 presidential candidate and former NRM General secretary has been out of government despite harmonizing with his former boss President Museveni who dropped him after the former opted to run against him in the 2016 general elections under his forward movement which left NRM with divisions.

Responding to the news that’s spreading like wildfire, Amama Mbabazi disclosed the sickness he’s suffering from that provoked him to go abroad to seek specialized medical attention.

“To all those that have sent me get well soon messages, I thank you for your encouragement, sympathy, and love. It is not true that I got a stroke. I had a back ailment which was fixed & I have actually in the last week or so been involved in fairly heavy diplomatic work. Thanks.”- tweeted Mbabazi.
