She appears to have missed the Uganda Parliament Exhibition, though—possibly because information about Uganda has always been scarce—rather than because she is a saint.
Not any longer! According to information on this page, MP Better Nambooze of Mukono Municipality received Ugx 811 million in treatment from Parliament.
The MP and one of her stepsons got into a fight at Nakabago Village in Mukono Municipality, which led to the treatment.
The event occurred in the early hours of the morning, some 18 months prior, while her spouse was away attending prayers.
This website was informed by family sources that the children and Mr. Bakireke, Nambooze's husband, had a long-standing disagreement over the MP's treatment of them after he abandoned them to live with the new catch.
Nambooze had a minor hand fracture during her involvement with her step-son. But the MP claimed to the press that thugs had attacked her.
One of Nambooze's assistants told this outlet, "She was only saved by the husband who heard the scuffle and ran to rescue the wife."
But Nambooze took medication, and after consulting with several people, the Member of Parliament approached Parliament to request help for going abroad for medical care.
Payment slips viewed by this website show that Nambooze received funding from the government totaling up to Ugx 811 million to cover the cost of this treatment.

Under false pretenses, Nambooze told the media that she was going to heal her back, which had been injured in the 2017 age limit altercation at Parliament by security personnel.
The MP initially received Ugx 334, 842, 200 shillings on November 4, 2022, as half of her hospital expenditures in the United States, according to the payment receipts.
The MP received a daily allowance of up to Ugx 81,000,000 on March 21, 2023, while her spouse Henry Bakireke received Ugx 60,750,000 for their 30-day stay in the US.
Afterwards, the MP received the remaining Ugx 334,842,000 as 50% of the treatment cost, making the total amount she and her husband spent on MP Nambooze on their trip to the US Ugx 811, 434, 400, all of which were paid with her Stanbic bank account number.
Since Nambooze already has active insurance with the Ugandan Parliament, Ugandans have asked the Leader, who has been critical of unnecessary spending, to return the money. Nambooze does not contest the facts.
"These MPs need to understand the value of our resources." What actions by her merited a search award? One of the online Twitter junkies, Kassim Kasasa, said as much.
